Jeff Davison - Mayoral Candidate

My role as a volunteer for the Jeff Davison Campaign office was graphic design. I was one of two volunteers that had the capacity for graphic design. To ensure that the design between each designer was similar, we had to stay within the design parameters given by the campaign manager. I had the privilege of working with a Calgary PR maverick Joni Avram, Founder of Cause & Effect.

Calgary Dream Centre Golf Tournament

As Campaign Coordinator at the Calgary Dream Centre, my role was to strategically architect a number of events. With the strange economic climate the past couple of years, I was responsible for the full strategic planning of the 13th Annual Charity Golf Classic. From start to finish, this entailed coordinating design, golf course, leading the golf committee members, player acquisition, and managing all data of players and teams. To complete all administrative responsibilities, I was instructed to use Eventbrite, Mailchimp, ActiveDemand, and Lightspeed.

WEDO, Women Entrepreneur Day Organization

I was given volunteer positions on the WEDO committee. I was a part of the content and planning as well as their last-minute graphic designer and social media crew. The content and planning team was in charge of organizing and writing up a summary of guest speakers and panelists based on industry (STEM) and designing well-rounded questions. The architecture of the content had to be generic enough that discussion could be had, but detailed enough that the panelist or the speaker could answer within the time parameters.
